Shipping
The most recommended port for Chile is in the regions Arica and Parinacota, Tarapacá, Aisén and Magallanes using the free zone of Iquique. The general shipping method is RORO (roll-on, roll-off) although the more expensive shipping method of containers can be arranged on request.
Pre-shipping requirements
Cars and vehicles into Chile do not require anything apart from the standard documentation required for exporting out of Japan (export certificate). We arrange this.
Import Limitations
To use a car in Chile the car must be converted from RHD to LHD. However, a large market exists where customers from other countries purchase their vehicles from Japan in the Iquique free zone.
